About This Project

A Human Factors research project to uncover the worker experience along the production process of egg cartons and styrofoam products. From the extrusion of raw materials to the rolling of massive bales of styrofoam, and ultimately the pressing of styrofoam into products, the research approach was to uncover areas of opportunities to 1) enhance engagement,  2) worker safety,  3) worker efficiency.

The outcomes of research highlighted several key areas of opportunities along the production journey, with associated worker stories and pain-points as supporting evidence. These areas of opportunities were then socialized to senior management to begin implementation planning.
